About
I’m a writer of poetry and short fiction, and dabble in short theatre with an ambition to develop longer scripts. I initially found my way into writing via Yorkshire’s spoken word scene and established Rhubarb at the Triangle in 2015, which is still running as a monthly open mic plus poetry book club and Stanza group.
My shape-shifting writing explores ecological and mythological themes and our entanglement with the more-than-human world. I won the inaugural Oxford Canal Festival poetry competition in 2024, and have been shortlisted in the Wells Literature Festival, Artemesia Arts, Wolverhampton Literature Festival, Ginkgo Prize and Leeds Poetry Festival competitions.
My debut pamphlet, Thin Spells, was published in September 2025 by The Black Cat Poetry Press. I was an Ilkley Literature Festival New Northern Poet in 2023, and my work has appeared in Mslexia, The Brontë Parsonage, and on BBC Front Row.
In 2025, I was part of a Wandering Imaginations literary exchange between the Brontë Women's Writing Festival and Pa Gya! Literary Festival in Accra, Ghana.
From August to October 2026, I was an artist in residence at Penistone Hill Country Park above Haworth, as part of a project to celebrate the Bradford Pennine Gateway National Nature Reserve.
